This application, formerly known as sipphone, represents the first comprehensive SIP client available for iPhone devices. Notably, it is also the inaugural application on the platform to support recording of phone conferences.

Users can utilize any VoIP provider to initiate SIP calls through this application. Additionally, it allows for the configuration of a SIP server within an organizational setting, effectively transforming the iPhone into a functional extension. Conference calls can be conveniently recorded with a single tap.

The iSip application is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices, providing versatile functionality across Apple’s mobile ecosystem.

Please note:

• This is a SIP client for iPhone; a valid SIP account from a provider is required to utilize this application.
• For first-generation iPod Touch users, an upgrade to OS 2.2 or later and an external microphone are necessary. We have tested compatibility with the Macally iVoiceIII external microphone.
• SIP protocol differs from Skype; therefore, this app does not support Skype accounts.
• Certain mobile carriers may restrict or prohibit VoIP usage over their networks, potentially incurring additional charges. Users should verify with their service provider prior to making SIP calls over 3G or Edge networks.
• The application supports per-account prefix settings specifically for contacts retrieved from the address book. When no specific prefix is assigned to an account, the global prefix setting applies across all calls.
